Sábháilteacht ar Líne
Anuraidh, bhailigh muid aiseolas ar an teagasc agus ar an fhoghlaim sa scoil.
Bhain muid úsáid as an aiseolas sin chun spriocanna a leagan síos inár bPlean Forbartha Scoile don bhliain seo.
Roghnaigh formhór na dtuismitheoirí ‘Sábháilteacht ar Líne’ mar réimse atá le forbairt againn.
Is féidir le Barnardos seisiúin mhíosúla a chur ar fáil do thuismitheoirí. Tá na chéad dhá sheisiún SAOR IN AISCE liostaithe thíos:
Molaimid go láidir do gach tuismitheoir clárú agus freastal ar na seisiúin seo.
Cuireann oiliúint i sábháilteacht ar líne ar chumas tuismitheoirí a gcuid páistí a chosaint sa domhan digiteach atá againn inniu.

Online safety
Last year, we asked for curriculum feedback.
We used this to set targets in our School Development Plan for this year.
A majority of parents selected 'Safety online' as an area that needs developed.
We are hoping to deliver workshops to pupils after the Halloween break, however, we would like parents to work in partnership with us as technology is in everyone's home.
Barnardos can offer monthly sessions for parents. The first 2 FREE monthly sessions are below.....
Protecting Children from Online Risks
Guiding Responsible Digital Use
Strengthening Parent-Child Communication
Thursday 27th November @ 7pm via ZOOM
Wednesday 10th December @ 7pm via ZOOM
We encourage all parents to sign up and do these. Completing online safety training empowers parents to protect their children in today’s digital world. Here’s why it’s so important:
- Cyberbullying awareness: Training helps parents recognize signs and intervene early.
- Scams and predators: Learn how to spot suspicious behavior and teach children to avoid risky interactions.
- Privacy protection: Understand how to safeguard personal information and manage app permissions.
- Social media boundaries: Set age-appropriate limits and discuss healthy online habits.
- Screen time management: Learn strategies to balance digital and offline life.
- Digital footprint education: Help children understand how their online actions can affect their future.
- Open conversations: Training encourages ongoing dialogue about online experiences.
- Building trust: Children are more likely to share concerns when parents are informed and supportive.
Staying Informed and Empowered
- Keeping up with tech trends: Stay ahead of new platforms, games, and risks.
- Confidence in decision-making: Make informed choices about parental controls, apps, and online activities
